Paradox of our Time

It is a puzzling concept, the crux of mankind if you will. Time has this sort of mysterious charm about it which entrances us. Like the beginning to a toddler's riddle; you can't see it, but its always there, it is always moving, but it can never be stopped, always forward, never in reverse. These mystical properties mold and shape us everyday.

Time makes the grandest castle turn to dust, the strongest war heroes turn frail, and the most beautiful car turn to rust. Time, I feel, is the most powerful of all things.

None of these ideas are new, I don't pretend them to be. However, the utter irony in all of this is we understand what time does, we understand the power it possesses, yet, we say "Don't worry about it, I've got time..."

"I've got time" may be the most ignorant of all human phrases. Sorry to burst your bubble friends, but time has you.

Time knows no boundaries, it is not humane or merciful. Time will be there for you one day, giving you plenty more than what you need. The following, it will remove itself from you, acting like a friend who has forgotten your name. Begging and pleading does nothing. Time has no heart and does not feel sorrow. Time also has a very strict "no return" policy, you know, like one of those one day shoe sales. Every day time runs out on someone who is completely undeserved of its wrath, someone who has done nothing to offend its glory. Yet, not even for the most righteous will pleading for more result in a longer stay...
