Complain king
So it's been four days since I've been back from my dive trip. The trip was awesome, even though I had to miss a few trainings. Did 5 dives altogether and now, I'm officially a PADI open water diver! Yayyyy!
On our way back, our mini bus was stopped by an off-duty police officer clad in his police uniform and a pair of slippers and smoking his gudang garam suria. Us being the innocent newbies that we were, thought he just wanted to make sure we weren't illegal immigrants.
Policeman takes a look at our driver. "I'm going to give you summons for speeding".
There we were, travelling on a mini bus that could barely even transport all our heavy asses acorss the malaysian highway. How in the world could we even speed. If we were speeding, shouldn't he be arresting all those hobos who fit their proton wiras with v6 engines and going at 150km/h?
Our driver panics, and gets out to explain himself. "HOLD IT RIGHT THERE. DON'T COME ANY CLOSER OR I WILL GIVE YOU ANOTHER SUMMON"
WHAT THE FUCK. Rich Singaporeans fulfilling their quota for the week.
So he asks for Rm50 if we didn't want to get a ticket. Our driver complied and Constable Ahmad got his Rm50 hari raya green packet.
It's no wonder why malaysia ranks 44th on the world corruption index.
Moral of the story: Malaysia tak boleh! And singaporeans are not that pitiful. At least if someone does that to me in singapore, I can complain to my MP, complain to his boss, complain to the police post, complain to the straits times. Over there, their police is king. If you want to complain, they might blow you up into pieces with a grenade, or taser you with a stun gun. Repeatedly. Until your hair starts frying. Or maybe even strip you and make you do squats until you shit your guts out. And then 1 week later, you see a video of yourself naked and doing squats on youtube.
